Terms of Service for Assemble Twins

01Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Assemble Twins (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

02Description of Service

Assemble Twins is a desktop application that analyzes your professional email communications to create a personalized AI assistant (“Knowledge Twin”). The Knowledge Twin captures your expertise, decision-making patterns, and communication style to answer questions on your behalf.

03Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use this App. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

04Your Account

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and regulations

05Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Process emails you do not have the right to access
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to generate misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content
  • Misrepresent your Knowledge Twin’s responses as human-generated when disclosure is required
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s servers or networks

06Your Data

Data You Provide

You retain ownership of your emails and the knowledge extracted from them. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service.

Data Processing

Your emails are processed as described in our Privacy Policy. PII is scrubbed locally before cloud processing. We do not sell your data or use it to train models for other users.

Data Deletion

You may delete your Knowledge Twin and all associated data at any time through the App.

07Intellectual Property

Our IP

The App, including its code, design, algorithms, and branding, is owned by Assemble AI and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App.

Your IP

You retain all rights to your original email content and the knowledge extracted from it. Your Knowledge Twin is yours.

08Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services (Google Gmail API, cloud infrastructure). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or changes.

09Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Knowledge Twin responses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose
  • The App will meet your specific requirements

Your Knowledge Twin is an AI assistant based on your historical communications. It may produce incorrect, outdated, or inappropriate responses. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Assemble AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Assemble AI from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may stop using the App at any time.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. You may delete your data before or after termination.

13Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
